Poliron started its activities in the beginning of the 40's, processing the raw material available at that time, called pulp, made of vegetal basis. The company was officially founded in 1947, in Brazil, with own capital, specializing exclusively in extrusion of thermoplastics; focusing its production at that time on the automotive, civil construction and consumption material industries.

During most of its existence, production focused on instrumentation and automation of industrial processes. Due to that, in 1963 poliron manufactured the first multipurpose plastic tube for pneumatic instrumentation process, becoming a pioneer in this industry in Brazil, result of research and analysis of the customers' needs.

In the beginning of the implementation of an important petrochemical pole, the company developed the first metallic multi-tube in long lengths with totally national materials, including the manufacturing of its own PVC composites.

Poliron participated in the development and implementation several industrial projects, providing tubes, valves and connections for pneumatic instrumentation, supplying national products for the installation of chemical and petrochemical plants in accordance with the technology available at that time.

As pneumatic instrumentation evolved to analog electronics, it became one of the most complete lines of cables and multicables, for this industry. Currently, it manufactures cables for a wide variety of applications -- instrumentation, thermocouple extensions, bus protocols, railroad signals, marine installations, low emission of fumes and toxic gases, as well as special projects.

Today, the company drives its efforts to meet the needs of petrochemical plants, oil refineries, pulp plants, fine chemistry, industrial automation systems, railways and others.

To achieve that, poliron relies on the ISO 9001 quality system certification, version 2000, including all items of the standard. The company also has products certified for instrumentation and control cables, as well as certification of type for marine cables.
